Thank you so much for reading about our Toddler Group we love sharing our news!

Cooking Banana Bread
We do love our cooking sessions. Liz from the Cookery Kitchen is just wonderful and now having the use of the Cooker, the evocative smells emanating from the kitchen are very exciting for the children. They took home some fabulous Banana bread, good enough to be on sale at Biblios!  It is also a really good sharing activity with parents and children working together.

Dancing and Singing
We all know children embrace movement whole heartedly without the inhibitions which maturity sometimes brings so we were all fully engaged with Nikki from Dandy Development when she led the session for us with music, songs and dancing. Dandy runs classes in the area so check them out if you are interested.   As the weather becomes warmer we are exploring how we can use the outdoor space but of course safety is of paramount importance because it is not at ground level and backs directly onto the car park. Therefore we are thinking of acquriring extendable barriers which can be packed easily away after use – any ideas would be very welcome, thank you in advance.

Exciting Visitors
We were so pleased to welcome a baby lamb and a baby goat to Toddlers what a lovely surprise thanks to Nicola and her son Patrick who so loved being ‘the teacher’ showing others what to do. Feeding, stroking, being up close and personal was a great experience for everyone, thank you so much.

‘Shed’ Addendum
We are always looking at ways to improve and make our sessions a seamless experience, I know that everyone appreciates all the work that goes on behind the scenes. We often talk of a family commitment to Toddlers and were grateful when Judi’s husband offered to add some substantial hooks to the shed so we could hand some of the lighter things thus giving more accessibility to the other toys which is always a challenge.  A great job Geoff, thank you. Plus we were able to have a further ‘sort out’ and were very happy with the results. We hope to purchase a small plastic storage unit to house our sit and ride toys.

Finally
Reg has been our Toddler Volunteer for many years now, making the tea and coffee, clearing up, chatting to families and generally being a pleasure to have around. He is always ready to lend a hand. The children and parents like him a lot !!!! We want to send him our good wishes for a speedy recovery as he has been unwell and hospitalised recently. We have spoken briefly to Reg and he appreciated all our get well cards and we hope to see him back soon even if it is just for a visit and we can wait on him for a change!   Here he is with little George clowning around. We miss you Reg.
